FORMAT

Hybrid Matchplay & Amazing Race / Gauntlet Qualifying. A three-phase tournament where only the scrappiest rats survive.

Phase One - Rat Rubout

Players will be randomly grouped in groups of 3 or 4 and will play a four game bank (old, mid, new, and one old/mid) with 7-5-3-1 scoring (7-4-1 for 3 player groups.) Top player(s) in each group will automatically advance to phase 2. Top scoring 2nd place players will advance to fill out the field based on the following rubric:

32 players or less = 8 players in Phase Two
33-48 players = 16 players in Phase Two
49-96 players = 24 players in Phase Two
97+ players = 32 players in Phase Two

Phase Two - Amazing Race

Remaining players will be divided up into four groups and will play an Amazing Race round. Amazing Race has players play one player games through a gauntlet. Lowest score on each game of the gauntlet is eliminated. Last player standing at the end of each Amazing Race will advance to Phase 3.

Phase Three - The Rat King

Final four will play a four game bank (old, mid, new, and one old/mid) with 7-5-3-1 scoring to be crowned Rat Race 3.0 Champion.

All tie breakers for phases will be determined by a direct play on a single assigned game with the finishing placement based on the results of that game.

Top 4 get paid: 40%/30%/20%/10%
