Finals Format

Overall

We’ll play 12 rounds of head to head matches best of 1, after which the top 14 players (if we are 28 or more players) qualify for A-division playoffs. The 1st round pairings will be made up by pitting players with adjacent IFPA rankings against each other. Subsequent pairings will be random. A bye round will be worth 0.5 points.

The top 2 qualifiers get a bye round in the playoffs, which will be head to head matches best 2/3.

The 8 players with the highest scores not making the A playoffs, will play B-division playoffs. To be eligible for this, players must not be ranked higher than 700 by the IFPA, e.g. someone ranked 681 would be not allowed to play in B playoffs.

$5 to enter.

$20 to the top qualifier & $10 to the runner up.

The remaining prize pot will be divided between A (75%) and B (25%).

Cash prizes to the top 4 in each division (40-30-20-10%).
