Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: September 12, 2015
Rules for the pinball golf tournament:
1. $25 Entry fee per player.
2. Par scores will be determined based on the average score from the Friday night warm up tournament where possible with input from owner and tournament director.
3. Players will be grouped into foursomes.
4. Once a player’s round has started, there will be no practice allowed on games that are in the tournament. Practice is allowed on games not in the tournament.
5. Each pinball will be designated as a hole and given a number and par score.
6. Players may play in any order until they have completed the entire course.
7. Each ball played counts as a stroke.
8. The object is to obtain the par score with the lowest number of balls possible for each game. The best possible score on any hole is 1.
9. Each player must play until they obtain the par score for the game they are playing. The maximum score is 6 as all games will be set to five ball play for the pin-golf tournament.
No need for adding anything up. Yeah!!
10. Once a player reaches the par score they must plunge their remaining balls.
11. Extra balls are played do not count as a stroke most will be turned off. (Free mulligan)
12. Games must remain as they are set for Friday night’s warm up tournament throughout Saturday’s Qualifying.
13. If a pinball machine goes down during any round of the tournament and cannot be repaired without adjustment to the play of the machine, that pinball machine will be omitted from the tournament and may be replaced with a different pinball machine. All players will have to replay on the new game and those scores replace the machine that malfunctioned. Otherwise all scores for that game are dropped from the tournament if there is not an adequate substitute.
14. If there is a tie there will be a one game playoff, on a game to be determined by a random drawing.
15. Games may be replaced or adjusted as needed prior to Sunday’s match.
16. The top 50% of players will play 9 additional holes (pinball machines) on Sunday at 8:00am for A money 2/3 of pot. The bottom 50% of players will play 9 additional holes (pinball machines) on Sunday at 8:00am for B money and 1/3 of the pot. Both divisions must complete play by noon.
• If you are a top 300 player according to the rankings at the time of the tournament start, you must qualify top half for the A tournament as you will not be allowed to compete for B money.
17. All players will start with a clean slate.
18. The nine games will be announced 1 hour prior to the start of the finals for each division.
19. The finalist with the least amount of strokes at the completion of the nine holes is the winner. In the event of a tie refer to rule 14.
20. The tournament director (Steve Trujillo) will make the final decision on all disputes.
