Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: June 25, 2023
A staple of the Cleveland Pinball community, Superelectric Pinball Battle is a single-day tournament with 8 rounds. That's a lotta pinball, and that's just qualifying!
How it works:
Registration for the tournament is $10, games are on free play, which costs $6 and can be purchased at the bar.
Tournament begins promptly at 1PM, doors open at 12pm.
Players will be put into groups of 4 (or 3, when necessary) and will play a game randomly assigned by the software we use: matchplay.events! After the game is over, results for the game will be submitted, and points awarded to players based on finishing position. 7 points for first, 5 points for second, 3 for third, and 1 point for last. (7/4/1 in 3 player groups)
After 8 rounds, the top 50% of qualifiers will move onto a playoffs/finals format, with trophies and prize money on the line!
A secondary playoff will be created for the top 4 players who didn't qualify whose IFPA ranking is lower than the top 1500, as well! A portion of the overall prize money will be awarded to the top 2 finishers of these players, with top place receiving a trophy as well!
Initial 8 rounds takes about 3-4 hours, and playoffs can take another 2-3. Depending on player attendance (and the willingness to keep momentum by qualifiers) there may be a 45-minute break for food and rest. There's plenty of food options in the surrounding area and players and welcome to eat inside the parlor.
