Pingolf!
We're trying a new format this month. At noon we'll kick off a shotgun start of the MPB Pingolf course. In Pingolf you're playing with a group of 3 or 4 players but the only competition is you vs the machine. Each game will have a target score posted. If you can achieve that target score on your first ball then you get 1 point for the "hole". You get a birdie (2 points) if you reach the target score on your second ball instead. Par is achieving the score in 3 balls. There will also be lower target scores and you'll get either a 4, 5, or 6 depending on your final score after 3 balls.
Example:
On Cactus Canyon...
score 10 million on ball 1 for a hole in one (1 point) or on ball 2 for 2 points or on ball 3 for 3 points.
score at least 7 million after 3 balls for 4 points
score at least 4 million after 3 balls for 5 points
otherwise you'll get 6 points on that machine.
After playing games on 9 different machines we'll do a finals with the top 8 players (the ones with the lowest overall points total). We'll do a one game tiebreaker on a random machine for the top 8 finals cutoff. Finals will be a single elimination bracket.
The games will be on their normal settings of either $1 per play or 3 plays for $2.
Targets scores will be posted on the Facebook event closer to the day of the tournament.
